Where to eat: TY harbour, more than just great beer

A welcoming patio on the water.

The T. Y. Harbor Brewery in Tennozu Isle, Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo has, over the years since opening, established itself as one of the most refined yet relaxed dining spots in the Tokyo Bay area.

Known today for its internationally varied fusion of Euro-Asian dining with odd extras from other geographical locales around the world thrown in for good measure, a delightfully varied lunch menu that changes daily as well as an a la carte option – and even its own brand of beer named Tennozu Ale – ‘TY’ as it is affectionately called really is one for the ages; one for any culinary fan to head down to on repeated occasions if at all possible.

A T.Y. fave.

Even if just for the odd glass of beer (that comes in six forms including a seasonal beer), and also an organically produced thirst quencher unique to T.Y. and brewed by master Kazunaga Abe, T.Y. for a glass or two of the proverbial amber nectar makes the perfect weekday evening hangout with friends, or weekend dine in style but fret-not-of-the-bill kind of place; the pale, amber and dark beers offered within likely to suit all tastes

Also increasingly known in more recent times for its TY Artworx displays that bring emerging new contemporary artists together with the fine dining offered by the restaurant, T.Y. Harbor is the ideal location in which to sample some of the city’s finest dining whilst surrounded by art forms worthy of more than a second glance.
