Hotel Okura Tokyo charity art exhibit

From Aug. 7 to Sept. 1, the Hotel Okura Tokyo will hold a charity art exhibition, “The Great Masters of Japan and France with Monet, Utrillo and Saeki,” at the hotel’s Ascot Hall on the second basement level of the South Wing.

The exhibition will be hosted by the Corporate Cultural Exchange Committee to show masterpieces that are owned by companies, organizations and individuals and so cannot ordinarily be viewed. This year, the hotel will hold its 19th exhibition and donate all the net profit to the Japanese Red Cross Society.

The exhibition will open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (from noon on Aug. 7). Tickets are ¥1,200 for adults, ¥1,000 for students and free for those in junior high school or below.

During the term, the hotel will also offer an accommodation plan as well as special dishes related to French Impressionists at its restaurants. French restaurant La Belle Epoque will offer a special crème brûlée that was loved by people in Montmartre, an area of Paris where many such artists gathered. Special packages consisting of a ticket to the exhibit and a special lunch at the hotel’s restaurants will be available at ¥4,000 and ¥6,000.

The Hotel Okura Tokyo is a 10-minute walk from Toranomon, Kamiyacho, Tameike-sanno and Roppongi-itchome stations. For more information, call 03-3505-6110 or visitwww.hotelokura.co.jp/tokyo .
