“Nothing but praise for this lady! Thanks to Nicki I experienced the ultimate Tokyo feeling. In two days culture, shopping, the best sushi ever and the beautiful nature experienced the Japanese way. All of this she accomplishes by really listening to your wishes and to adjust her program accordingly. A big plus is her ability to speak Japanese and the fact that she knows all the hip, cool places in the city. On top of that she can tell you a bit of history or some interesting anecdote about the Japanese culture for each place we visited. “Nicki is geweldig! Ze is spontaan, heeft ontzettend droge humor, is heel lief en behulpzaam. Ik raad aan met d’r door Tokio te fietsen, hartstikke leuk om te doen, bijvoorbeeld naar het Harajuku district en daar inderdaad te gaan picknicken. Ze is al op veel plekken in Tokio geweest en weet altijd wel raad te geven over tijden/plekken. Ik heb ontzettend genoten in de korte tijd dat ik in Tokio was en toch nog veel heb kunnen zien wat ik niet in m’n eentje had kunnen bereiken!”

“Nicki is wonderful! She is very spontaneous, has a ‘dry’ sense of humor and is very loving and helpful. I strongly recommend to cycle to Tokyo with her! It really is a blast! For instance go with her to the Harajuku district and have a pick nick there. She has seen a lot of Tokyo and always has good advise about where to go or what time to go where. I really enjoyed the short time I was in Tokyo and was able to see a lot which I would have never achieved by myself!”

“Wij hebben met 5 personen de shopping tour gedaan. Shopping is niet helemaal de goede benaming voor deze tour. We zijn bij een mooi tempel geweest bij meji jingu, hebben de drukte beleefd en mooie mensen bekeken bij harajuku street. shibuya en omotesando. Een goede indruk gekregen met leuke uitleg over het leven in tokyo tussen 9 en 13uur.”

“We did the ‘A shoppers paradise’ tour with five persons. Shopping tour is not exactly the right name for it in my opinion. We went to a beautiful temple Meiji Jingu, experienced the crowds and watched the beautiful people go by in Harajuku street. We got a good impression of Tokyo with a fun explanation about life in this metropolis between 9 AM and 1 PM.”

“Ik heb vorig jaar Nicki mogen ervaren als gids. Het supergrote voordeel is dat ze Japans spreekt! Haast niks staat in het Engels aangegeven. Daarnaast is ze supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. “Last year I had the pleasure of having Nicki as a tour guide. The biggest benefit is that she speaks Japanese! Almost nothing is written in English. Besides that she is super friendly and helpful. She has a keen sense for finding the most interesting things to see and do and if not she does not rest until she finds it. So if you are planning to go to Tokyo, you really should hire Nicki as your guide!!!”

“Onlangs een prima 2 dagen tijdens een 3 daagse stop met Nicky doorgebracht.
Verscheidene tours geboekt en het is heerlijk zeker met +8 tijdsverschil Nicky te volgen door Tokio, zonder zelf ook maar iets te hoeven uitzoeken.De grote kracht van Nicky is het feit dat zij zeer flexibel is en zich aanpast aan bv weersomstandigheden tijdens het bepalen van een route of bezienswaardigheid door de stad.
Ook beschikt Nicky over veel achtergrond informatie.
Het is wel zaak om van te voren goede prijsafspraken te maken wat wel en wat niet in de div tours is inbegrepen zoals bv entree voor musea en dergelijke.
Ik wens een ieder veel plezier met Nicky tijdens het ontdekken van Tokyo.Wij kijken terug op een geslaagde ervaring!

“Recently we spent two fine days during a three day stop over with Nicki. We booked several tours and it is truly wonderful, especially with +8 hours time difference to just follow Nicki throughout Tokyo, without having to find anything out for yourself. Nicki’s greatest strenght is that she is really flexible and adjusts her schedule according to the weather when deciding where to go throughout the city.
Nicki also knows a lot of background information.
One thing that is key to discuss what is included in the tour and what is not in regards to entrance to museums and such.
I wish every one a pleasurable stay in Tokyo and a wonderful trip with Nicki while discovering this amazing city. We look back to a satisfying experience!

“Net teruggekomen van een fantastische twee weekse vakantie in Japan en we hadden onze trip niet beter kunnen beginnen dan met een rondleiding met ‘Tokiotours’ op onze tweede dag in Tokio. We hebben een introductie gekregen in het JR trein systeem en het Tokio Metro systeem, we hebben de shopping street van Omotesando/Harajuku gezien en natuurlijk de gek geklede Japanners die je in deze wijken tegen komt inclusief gekke haarstijlen. Daarna hebben we heerlijk even buiten op een terrasje gegeten (een uitzondering in Tokio om lekker buiten te kunnen eten!) en we hebben zelfs nog wat tips gekregen voor een avond programma en een aanbeveling voor een ryokan op een handige locatie in Kyoto. 🙂
In kort, Tokiotours komt echt warm aanbevolen voor een verblijf binnen Tokio!”

“Just arrived back from an amazing 2-weeks vacation in Japan and we couldn’t have started it better than with a ‘Tokiotour’ on our second day: got introduced with the JR train and Tokyo Metro system, walked the shopping streets of Omotesando/Harajuku encountering people in fantasy outfits with creative hair styles, settled down for a lunch at a sunny terrace (outdoor eating, a curiosity in Tokyo!) and got some great tips for our evening program, even for a conveniently located ryokan in Kyoto 🙂

“Met Nicki samen een tour door Tokio gedaan. Dat was pas leuk. Samen met twee andere KLM collega’s had ik al afgesproken om een tour te doen en daar kwamen er nog eens twee anderen bij. In totaal zijn we met een leuke groep van vijf man door Tokio heen gegaan en we hebben in een dag meer gezien dan dat we zelf in een paar dagen hadden kunnen zien. Van Omotesando tot Akihabara, Nicki wist ons overal feilloos de weg te wijzen. Tussendoor stopten we nog bij een heel leuk biologisch restaurantje. Dat zijn nou juist de leuke dingen, eten bij een restaurantje wat je alleen nooit zou kunnen vinden. We hebben zelfs een pachinko parlor van binnen bekeken! Wat die mensen beweegt om de hele dag in die kabaal zielloos naar zo’n apparaat te staren… Echt een hele ervaring. Al met al kan ik zeker aanraden om een tour bij Nicki te nemen. Als je weinig tijd hebt en veel wilt zien, dan kan zij je binnen een dag alle leuke plekjes laten zien!”

“Together with Nicki I took a tour through Tokyo. I had a great time. Together with two other KLM colleagues I had agreed to do a tour with Nicki and two others joined us that morning. In total we had a great group of five people which Nicki led through Tokyo. We saw more in one day than we could have managed by ourselves in several. From Omotesando to Akihabara, Nicki showed us the way without fault and knew the best spots to see the most amazing things. During the day we stopped for lunch at a cute little organic restaurant. Those are the special touches only a local can show you. I would have never found the place by myself! We even saw a pachinko parlor from the inside! Whatever compels those people to sit in that racket all day long beats me! Really an experience on its own. All in all I can definitely recommend to book a tour with Nicki. If you have little time and want to see a lot then she can show you all the best spots!”

“Heb een geweldige dag met Nikki doorgebracht in Tokio. Keurig op de afgesproken tijd hebben we haar ontmoet in het Tokio station. Vandaar met haar vertrokken, metro-dagkaart gekocht en dan houd niets een leuke dag meer tegen. Nikki heeft ons meegenomen naar tempels, parken, bezienswaardigheden, “Het Zebra-pad”, typische wijkjes, de tijd vloog om. Onderweg kom je dan weer plekken tegen waar Nikki je aanraadt om iets speciaals te eten, verteld over een bezienswaardigheid of opmerkelijke zaken waar je anders gewoon voorbij loopt. Nikki woont al enkele jaren in Tokio. Hoewel wij hadden aangegeven alleen van haar ochtendprogramma gebruik te maken was dit zo goed bevallen dat we ‘s-middags ook met haar op stap zijn geweest. Geen kostbare tijd verliezen dus met uitzoeken waar je moet zijn, Nikki weet precies de weg in de immens grote metrostations met zijn vele uitgangen, “Lost in Translation” geraken zal je met haar ook niet overkomen, ze beheerst de Japanse taal zo goed dat zelfs Japanners haar complimenten geven. Nikki heeft omschreven tours maar wil je ergens specifiek heen dan behoort dat natuurlijk ook tot de mogelijkheden als je het maar van tevoren laat weten. Een aanrader dus een dagje door Tokio met deze hollandse blondine die als je er ruimte voor hebt in je koffer, een fles Nederlands badschuim altijd waardeerd, de Japanse variant schijnt niet te schuimen. Nikki bedankt.”

“Enjoyed a wonderful day together with Nicki in Tokyo. We met her at the appointed time at Tokyo station. She is so punctual. From there we started our day with her. After we bought our subway daypass, nothing was in our way. Nicki took us to temples, parks and other sights. The famous ‘cross road’ in Shibuta, the typical neighbourhoods, time went by so quickly! On the way you pass those special places where Nicki recommends you should eat, she tells you all you ever wanted to know about a specific sight or something remarkable she passes on the street, which you would otherwise had missed. Nicki lives in Tokyo for several years. Even though we had agreed we would only do a half day package, we enjoyed our time with her so much, we decided to spend the afternoon with her as well. Not losing any time figuring out where to go, Nicki really knows her way in the immens subway stations with numerous exits. Definitely no ‘Lost in translation’ experiences when she is by your side to make sure everything runs smoothly. She has such a good grasp on the Japanese language, that even the Japanese compliment her on her excelent language skills. Nicki has ready made package tours, but if there is anything or anywhere specific you want to go to, that is not mentioned on her website, all you need to do is ask (preferably a bit in advance). I can really recommend you spend the day with this Dutch Blond lady and if you have any room in your luggage left over, she really appreciates a bottle of bubble bath! Apparently the Japanese kind does not produce any foam. Nicki, thanks!”
